Hi! I'm Sarah.

If you're a mission-driven organization, I can help you maximize and measure impact.

Services

Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL): I provide support for the entire M&E cycle, including the design of conceptual frameworks (theories of change, logic models, etc.), M&E plans and data collection tools. I can also help your team build internal MEL capacity through staff coaching and mentorship.

Independent Evaluation: Sometimes you need an outside pair of eyes. As an independent evaluator, I can help you measure the effectiveness of your program, document the results, and make data-driven decisions about your approach moving forward.

Needs Assessments & Research: Actionable research can help your organization make informed decisions. I carry out needs assessments, literature reviews, market research and scoping exercises that give you the intel you need to expand into new geographies or program areas.

Data Analysis:  I’m a data geek who loves working with both quantitative or qualitative data. I can help you make sense of the data coming from your programs, visualize that data in compelling ways, and I promise to keep the stats jokes to a minimum.

Impact Storytelling: The learning process doesn’t stop with data collection and analysis. Your data should tell the story of your organization’s impact and contribute to the knowledge base of your sector. I’m versed in impact reporting across the nonprofit, multilateral, and Environmental, Social & Corporate Governance (ESG) spaces, and can help you accurately represent and clearly communicate your organization’s impact to a broad audience.

About Me

I've played a variety of roles over my 14+ years working in nonprofit programming, social impact, gender mainstreaming, and education:

  • The evaluator helping a non-profit better understand and measure the results of their program.

  • The gender specialist helping a project team make their approach more inclusive.

  • The executive leading strategic decisions and managing personnel on three continents.

  • The teacher in a rural public school.

This diversity of perspectives—as well as field experience across Latin America and the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia and the US—allows me to tailor my approach to each individual client, balancing methodological rigor, best practices and pragmatism.
